Steve Hollister, Owner
Steve got his start in the kitchen of Golden Bear Pancake House in Illinois, while playing sports in high school nearly 40 years ago. He remembers, "My mom told me I needed to work at a restaurant so my sisters could eat."
He became good behind the griddle and branched out into other restaurants before being trained under a master chef and eventually becoming a Certified Executive Chef as well as a Level One Sommelier.
Steve's impressive career has lead him to positions such as Executive Chef at Sheraton Scottsdale, a four star, four diamond resort in Arizona; he opened the Grand Victoria Casino Boat in Chicago; managed Shula's in Chicago; became a managing partner at Fleming's Steakhouse in St. Louis; managed the massive Wisconsin Eagle Inn on the Lake near Burlington Wisconsin among other things.
Steve and his wife Denise moved to Southwest Florida in 2011 to be closer to family. The two looked at some 35 places from Naples to Venice before deciding on the Twisted Vine Property. He was impressed with what city leaders were doing to develop and bring more business to the downtown area.
Still a big Chicago sports fan, Steve is glad to be away from the snow and is looking forward to "a good long run in Fort Myers while looking to expand the Twisted Vine brand."
